Linear actuating tool LAT-balance with compensation of imbalance and centrifugal force
Lineares Aussteuerwerkzeug LAT-balance
MAPAL Effect
  • With an integrated measuring system at the slide for more accuracy as an option
  • High speeds and at the same time large stroke
  • Improved machining results due to complete compensation of the imbalance and centrifugal force over the complete adjustment range

With the new linear actuating tool LAT-balance, MAPAL completes the product range in the field of mechatronic actuating tools. Combined with TOOLTRONIC®, the gap between linear actuating tools (LAT) with a large stroke and comparatively low speeds and eccentric actuating tools (EAT) with high speeds and a comparatively low stroke is closed. LAT-balance meets the requirements of modern machining for high speeds with a simultaneous large actuating stroke and highest quality demands. This favourable combination is possible as the LAT-balance fully compensates the imbalance and centrifugal force of the mechanical components that arise during the actuating movements under rotation over the complete adjustment range.

With a radial stroke of ± 12 mm and therefore an effective diameter adjustment of 48 mm at a diameter of 125 mm, the new LAT-balance combined with the TOOLTRONIC® system makes completely new machining tasks possible. The special precision drive technology combined with the reduced moments of inertia allows for a higher adjustment speed of the slide when compared with comparable actuating tools. In addition, the LAT-tool that makes accuracies of a few μm possible can be fitted with an integrated measuring system directly at the slide as an option. As a result, another improvement of the machining result can be achieved.
