The innovative drill geometry of the MEGA-Speed-Drill shows great properties with respect to centring capability, stability and chip removal. This geometry is therefore the basis for the new drill head type 01Plus of the replaceable head drill TTD for applications in steels and cast irons. As a result, feed forces can be significantly reduced by up to 50 % compared with comparable replaceable drill heads. This allows for significant performance increases and short machining times.

The TTD type 01Plus for steel and cast material applications achieves very good machining results even for problematic and difficult machining tasks. This is achieved because the drill features an optimal centring capability and the chips are optimally discharged into the chip spaces of the TTS holder as a result of the special facet geometry. In addition, very smooth running is enhanced by the special 3-chamfer geometry. The combination of these features guarantees long tool lives and drill results at the highest level.
