The CPMill programme is more than an alternative for conventional milling cutter systems with replaceable heads. The high precision and performance of the MAPAL system set completely new standards.

The perfectly aligned taper-plan surface connection of the CFS connection is crucial for this new system. The exact adjustment of taper and plan surface is mandatory for the high radial run-out accuracy ≤ 5 μm, the very high stiffness and the constancy of the precision and performance. And this exact adjustment can also be guaranteed thanks to the extremely high production accuracy at MAPAL. Another advantage of the high precision connection is easy handling. The milling cutter heads can be screwed into the holder fast and exact by means of a simple spanner. And finally the precision of the CFS connection is crucial to achieve long tool lives.

The CPMill programme offers a standard programme of milling cutter heads which are optimised in respect of cutting materials and cutting edge geometries for machining all common materials. The appropriate replaceable heads for shoulder milling, groove milling and form milling are included just the same as deburring milling cutters and pilot drills.

The CPMill-HPC milling cutter is a highlight from this program. These tools have an unequal lead and unequal cutting pitch and are characterised by very smooth running, large machining volumes, process reliability and low machine load even with high cutting data.
