- Accuracy independent of external factors due to solid mechanical construction
- Easy to operate and flexibly adjustable MAPAL software
- Measurement processes can be fully automatic by integrating the CNC controller
- New modularity allows configuration according to customer wishes
The MAPAL program of setting fixtures is supplemented by the economic UNISET-V standard. Compared with the UNISET-V vision, the high end product in the series, the UNISET-V standard has no portal construction and no heel for setting tools with large projection lengths. The UNISET-V standard is therefore designed to set tools with a maximum length of 800 mm and a diameter of 400 mm max. Of course, the UNISET-V standard combines the familiar high MAPAL accuracy with extraordinary ease of use and ergonomics. As all MAPAL setting fixtures, the new UNISET-V standard can also be individually assembled according to customer requirements. There are many possibilities; with or without a CNC controller, with a tactile or optical measuring procedure or just one of the two.
Optical measurement is mainly suitable for fast and user friendly tool presetting and the tactile procedure extends the measurement options for tool settings accurate to a μm. Due to special adaptations, the contact forces of the tactile measuring method are so low that even delicate cutting materials such as PCD and PCBN can be set to the μm without the risk of damage. In addition, the outstanding precision mechanical technology is made possible by the use of high-quality materials, for example granite and carbon.
